Enrollment Determination Day Notice
Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child in FAME Public Charter School. Our Pre-Enrollment Forms are posted below and may be downloaded for submission. Please complete the form and return it according to the directions provided on the form.
We would like to take this opportunity to outline our enrollment process so that you know what to expect in the upcoming few weeks. Please note that per our Enrollment Policy, FAME Public Charter School accepts Pre-Enrollment forms in the spring for interested families. The information collected allows us to determine if a Public Random Drawing will be needed.
Please read the information listed below carefully. You will find important dates and procedures that will better inform you of our enrollment process.
FAME Public Charter School enrollment process:
Determination Day, March 10, 2010: Pre-Enrollment forms received or postmarked by March 10, 2010 will be counted to determine the need for a public random drawing.
Drawing Day, March 24, 2010: If it is determined that we have space available for all applicants at a specific school site, no public random drawing will take place. However, if there are more applicants than available spaces in any specific school site, a public random drawing will be held on March 24, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. at our Fremont, Kearney Street campus. FAME will mail notices to families by March 19th if their students will be included in the public random drawing.
Enrollment offers: Offer letters and registration packets will be sent to all students for whom we have confirmed available space after Determination Day and for those drawn for limited spaces on Drawing Day.
Enrollment preferences in the case of a public random drawing shall be allowed as follows:
- Siblings of currently enrolled students
- Siblings of students selected during a public random drawing
- School employees
- Alameda County residents
Remaining students: Once available spaces are filled at Drawing Day, additional students will be added to our waiting list in the order drawn and will receive enrollment packets as space becomes available.
Late forms: Any Pre-Enrollment forms received after Determination Day, March 10, 2010 will be added to a waiting list in the order received after the public random drawing has been completed. Enrollment packets will be sent out as space becomes available.
