Star Testing Reminder

Dear Parents/Guardians:
For the month of MAY, starting Tuesday, April 30, 2013, FAME Public Charter School’s Second through Eleventh grade students, along with public school students throughout California, will participate in the state’s Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) Program.
The California Standards Tests (CST) are multiple-choice tests that assess knowledge in several subject areas; English Language Arts and Math at all grade levels and Science (5th , 8th,10th, and 11th ) and Social Science (8th,10th, and 11th) at the select grade levels noted.
The FAME organization holds the belief that test results are very important as a way of helping the school and parents to gain valuable information about student academic growth throughout the current year and across multiple years.

To help your child do his or her best on testing days, please make sure your child:
1. arrives to school or designated testing site on time,
2. gets a good night’s rest the night before testing, and
3. has a healthy breakfast.
Please make any needed appointments after testing periods. Thank you parents, for your support in helping us make FAME PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL the best we can be!

FAME @ Kearney SENIORS – Seniors are expected to attend school. Attendance will be taken.
SITE based student arrival and release times are at the regular time during testing day. Pick up a bell schedule at your site or request a schedule from your teacher for complete details.
